FAQ. Frequently Asked Questions

- Q:Can I live in a Bespoke unit as my home? A:Our products are constructed to current building regulations including part L insulation so, yes, they are designed to be fully capable of being lived in a permanent home (subject to appropriate planning and other consent)
- Q: If I own a plot of land do I require planning permission to put a Bespoke lodge? A: As, generally speaking, our lodges provide self contained accommodation, planning permission will be required. In some circumstances however a local authority may permit the siting of a lodge under proposed development. We recommend that you speak to our planning expert or directly to the local authority.
- Q: I have planning permission for a chalet, can I have a Bespoke lodge instead? A: Yes because our lodges already conform to current building regulations.
- Q: Can I specify a certain layout for my lodge? A: As we build to order we can accommodate most design requirements. We are also able to draw upon the expertise of outside designers and, of course, we have the experience to help you get the most from your ideas.
- Q: Do I have to purchase soft furnishings and electric goods? A: All furnishings and white goods in our lodges are optional
- Q: Your price is ex-works, how much should I budget for delivery and installation? A: The delivery cost will depend on how far you are from our factory. On average the cost for delivery and siting is between £3,000 and £4,000. We will quote you definite figures at the time of order.
- Q: How much room do I need for delivery? A: Our lodges are delivered in two halves on low loaders (40?x20?). We require approximately 5 metre height clearance and 5 metres of width. Should there be any doubt about the clearance we will do a site survey before delivery.
- Q: How long will a Bespoke lodge last? A: Our build quality is exceptional and we only use the best materials. Given normal maintenance a Bespoke lodge will last a lifetime.
- Q: Does the lodge have heating? A: We use underfloor heating in all our lodges. We use a combination boiler which is usually powered by LPG although we can use any form of central heating.
- Q: Do the lodges come with a guarantee? A: We offer a 10 year structural guarantee, are members of National Caravan Council and all electrical items come with full twelve month warranty.
